Couldn't resist posting this pic of Joe after having his face painted at the school summer fair yesterday! I have to admit, it was a bit of an anti-climax. I only sold 2 bags, better than nothing certainly, and several people expressed interest. The lady whose stall I was sharing also sold bags, amongst other things, and she only sold a couple as well so maybe it just wasn't a day for bags. In the past when we've been to school fairs I usually take a set amount of cash with me - enough for the kids to have a go on all the various games and buy some cakes etc, but not a huge amount, otherwise it's easy to get carried away. I wonder if the Christmas fair would be different - people wanting to buy things for presents? I think some smaller things would maybe sell better, coin purses etc (if I can just get the hang of those wretched zippers!) So at the moment I'm a bit unsure what to do next. Do I just make bags to order? Or should I take the bull by the horns and go for it - make enough stuff to have my own stall and hope for the best? What do you think?
