Two lots of goodies in the post today! First up, this:-
My print from Picciolo. I know, it's a really dodgy photo, but I just love this. I just need to decide where to hang it. (You will notice that I have already decided it is going to stay mine!) At the moment it is hanging up in the hallway - which is still not finished! - so not sure if it will stay there or move somewhere else, but it will look fab wherever it ends up.
At lunchtime we took William down to school to go off on his Chinese experience. This is basically like a summer school at a posh private school in Surrey, where the kids will be learning about all things Chinese - and best of all, it's fully funded so we didn't have to pay a penny! William was really excited about going, but it is his first "proper" time away from home so it's going to be very weird not having him around. I think Joe will miss him loads, last night they had a "sleepover" in Joe's room which was really sweet. They will be sending us regular email updates so I can't wait to hear how he's getting on.
And then, when we got back from waving William off, another parcel was waiting for me!
It's my cupcake swap parcel from Ally of Born to Read and Knit. So the first thing I see is the cutest little fleecy pillow, decorated with a cupcake pattern made of tiny buttons:
Some cupcake socks, a ball of "cupcake" coloured yarn (a gorgeous raspberry colour), some cupcake napkins, a cupcake candle, a cupcake soap and a strawberry shortcake scented drawer sachet!! Even though I sent off my own parcel of treats, I must admit to being somewhat (pleasantly) overwhelmed and surprised by this first swapping experience - that a complete stranger would send me all this lovely stuff! Just goes to show how great this whole blogging community is. Ok, I'll stop gushing now! Have a great week, everyone!
