... birdies left in the shop, that is. Yes, I have sold two more, one to a lovely blog friend (hello Alex!), and one to a lady in Canada. I can't quite believe that they've sold so quickly! Now I need to pull my finger out and make some more stuff! I'm going to aim to list a few items each week, but I realise that it might be a sensible idea to build up a little bit of stock in advance! Yesterday I really wanted to do some sewing but couldn't quite get into it - I had a thumping headache most of the day. In the end, I just made some lavender bags for myself.
I was quite happy with how they turned out, but not enough to put them in the shop, so these three are in the drawers with our bedlinen, and there was another one which has been slipped inside my pillowcase to, hopefully, help me drift off to sleep!
Today was a little more successful, in that I was more in the mood for sewing. I had an idea for a mini quilt, actually, perhaps more of a mini table runner? Something that could be put on a dressing table or under a fruit bowl, perhaps?
Just a simple, rectangular, string pieced block, but I think this would look lovely on a little girls dressing table. Tomorrow, hopefully, I will get it quilted and bound, but I do like how it's looking so far.
