Peter has this week off work, so we have had a couple of good days out so far. On Monday we went to Bedgebury Forest, near Flimwell in Kent. This is such a great place to visit, we really love coming here. As well as the Pinetum, there are family cycling tracks (although we haven't tried those yet as Joe is still using stabilisers) and a fabulous play trail, with loads of play equipment hidden away in the forest.
Today we went up to London to the Natural History Museum. This is the first time Joe has been to London, so I wasn't sure how he would respond to all the crowds and miles of walking involved, but he was an absolute trooper and didn't complain once!
Despite being told not to run off and that he MUST stay with us at all times, I did spend an awful lot of time saying "Joe! WAIT!" He was much more interested in the interactive displays and pressing buttons than actually looking at any of the exhibits for more than about 5 seconds! On the way home he did declare the museum to be "awesome!", but when I asked him what his favourite bit was, he said "the shop!" Typical!
