A nice bit of gentle hand stitching is perfect for a horrible day like today - it's really nasty outside, wet and windy, so I'm having a nice, slow day cozied up at home, at least until school run time anyway!
I just finished sewing the bindings onto these two mug rugs for the swap. I really enjoy doing the binding - it's a bit tricky getting the ends to sit nicely together but I think the hand stitching is possibly one of my favourite parts of quilt making.
I've been really enjoying the 12 Days workshop over at The Copy + Paste Project. We're halfway through now, and I have a nice stash of projects that I want to try out. At the weekend we had some "bonus" projects, one of which was a lovely paper banner download but, typically, our printer was running low on ink. Not to be deterred, I printed out the black and white version and had a lovely time colouring in the letters with felt tips!
