The weekend never seems long enough, so I really struggle to get up on a Monday morning. It's also really grey and gloomy here today, so I thought I'd pop in here, to try and cheer myself up a bit. I have a lot on my to-do list at the moment, it's all feeling a bit full on, but I have managed to cross a few things off today, which is always good. I have bought a present for my mother in law (birthday on Friday), written up a draft letter requesting assessment for Joe (awaiting Senco's opinion before sending off) and I have finished drafting my handquilting tutorial for the duo quilt along, which is due next week.
Talking of which, I have finally free motion quilted the central section of the little Christmas runner that I made for the QAL. I have been having SO many problems with this, Rhonda has been a star and offered loads of advice, and I thought I had cracked it but, when I had a go this morning it just all went to pot (and I have to admit that some tears were shed - although I should probably also mention that, once I think I'm going to start crying about something I then can't stop and will cry about EVERYTHING, so it wasn't all about the quilt, just me being a silly, emotional mess!) But I really didn't want to let Rhonda down - after all, I can't be running a quilt along and not actually do the quilting, can I? So I persevered and got it done, and it doesn't look too horrific (the quilt will be under the Christmas tree, after all, so it doesn't actually matter too much!)
I managed a couple of other little stitchy project last week that I haven't shared yet:-
Next on the list is to get back to my heathers quilt, and get all the rows sewn together, so with a bit of luck I might be able to show you that later in the week.
What's on your to-do list today?
