* We bought a new laptop. I have slowly been trying to figure out how to transfer everything across (it's got Windows 8 which is taking a bit of getting used to!) This morning I have just spent ages deleting around 8000 emails from the server so that they won't clog everything up once I get Outlook up and running. Very tedious but I guess it's got to be done.
* It's been a good week home-ed wise. We've been cracking on with some online curriculum (to assuage any guilt that we've not been doing enough!) and on Tuesday we had a wonderful day out! We got the train to the next town and went ice-skating on the open air rink in the park! I haven't been skating for about 25 years so it took a little while to get used to it again but I didn't fall over! Joe has never been but he did brilliantly! We hired a "seal" for him (think ride on toy with a handle) that he could either hang on to or sit on and be pushed (which was very hard work so we tried not to do too much of that!) but he really enjoyed himself, despite falling over a few times, and was really starting to get the hang of it by the end of the session. After that we went and had some lunch then paid a visit to Father Christmas in his grotto - Joe asked for world peace!! A lovely day out.
* It was snowing big fat flakes when we got up yesterday but it didn't last very long so melted very quickly. It is still absolutely FREEZING though, and I finally caved in today and switched the heating back on after it had gone off this morning. I'm really trying not to put it on during the daytime but even Joe was feeling cold this morning! (And that's saying something - this boy hardly ever feels cold!)
I'm sure I must have more to tell you about but my brain isn't working very well this morning - I had trouble sleeping last night so am feeling a bit dopey today. Ah well, at least we can have a nice lazy day! I think some hot chocolate might be in order too...
