I'm sure you all know by now that the lovely Leanne has taken over the reigns of the Finish-Along for this year. Although I don't have many WIPs to enter, it's a great idea to get everyone motivated - so big cheer for Rhonda for getting it started! I didn't do too badly last year, but then seeing as I only entered a couple of quilts that's perhaps not so surprising! This year, I fear, will be much the same, as my sewing time has been greatly reduced, although I just need to get myself organised and then perhaps I will be able to find a little more time! So for this first quarter, I only have one thing to enter - the Mama Said Sew quilt.
Here's the top, which you've seen already, and I have now finished piecing a backing:-
This is made up of various half yard and FQ pieces that I had in the stash - there's Aneela Hoey (a couple of bits I think) some Amy Butler, some Pezzy prints (that you can't see in that pic)and a couple of other pieces. I'm now just waiting on the arrival of an order of batting and some perle cotton so that I can get on with it. As I'm going to hand quilt, it will obviously take me much longer to finish, so whether 3 months is going to be long enough, I can only guess! I'll give it a go though...
