Rufus has been with us for almost 2 and a half months now, and has quickly found his place in our family. I am now a mother of 3, he is my fur baby, and the boys refer to him as their little brother! He is absolutely, utterly adorable, a little introverted but incredibly affectionate, and I can't imagine life without him now. J adores having him around, although he can be a little over enthusiastic with him, so we have to keep an eye, but Rufus is so tolerant, and will just give a little rumble if J is overstepping the boundaries! Every morning, J and I take him for a little walk, which has become a lovely addition to our routine (although J does tend to moan about it a little, and will no doubt moan a lot more when it is wet and cold!), but it has been great for getting sir out of the house and a little more active. This morning we went for a long walk over at our nearby country park, we are trying to do this at least once a week, and we are thoroughly enjoying the fresh air and meeting all the other doggies and their owners (who are all so friendly!)
We've been doing a little bit of gentle training at home, and next week have a lady coming out to see us to help us with a bit more. We still can't trust to let him off the lead, and he can be a little bit vocal if he meets a dog that isn't so friendly (luckily, 95% of the time he is absolutely fine, but with that last 5% he does go a little bit mental!!) Hopefully, we will soon be able to join some classes, so that Rufus can have some fun and make some more friends!
