The baby quilt for my niece is coming along nicely. I managed to piece a backing from my stash, and was able to put the batting together from 2 offcuts as well. The best bit was the basting - as you may remember, I HATE basting but, being just a baby sized quilt, this one was small enough to do on the dining room table - result!
I got rather carried away and started quilting and had done almost half the quilt before I ran out of thread. And then realised that I had no more white thread. Honestly, who runs out of white thread?!
(It only looks crumpled because it's been folded up, honest!)
Nevermind, more supplies have been ordered! I'm just doing straight line quilting - a bit straighter than my usual "organic" line quilting, but still with some variation in the spacing, so not quite sure how you would describe that! Hopefully, the thread will arrive soon and I'll be able to get this finished next week. I have 10 weeks before baby is due to make an appearance though, so no rush.
