TLBG Wednesday - Morsbags

Today I'm supposed to be writing a post about the brilliant Morsbags project, but I have a stinking head cold and am feeling very sorry for myself so, instead, I'm going to cheat and I'll just give you the link to the site itself - www.morsbags.com - or you can go and read the post I wrote about it on TLBG last week.  Please do have a read if you've not heard of it before, as it's a fantastic idea.

Still here!

Hello!  Sorry for disappearing there, can't believe I didn't manage to blog at all last week (although I did at least manage a post for TLBG Wednesday).  I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things now that the kids are back at school.  Last week Peter was off work, so it was lovely to be able to spend some time together, but it did mean I couldn't quite get back into my term-time routine!  My to-do list is filling up like you wouldn't believe, and it's mostly really boring but essential stuff (filing, lots of boring paperwork stuff, renewing house insurance, trying to get the house into a reasonably tidy state etc)  Hopefully, if I can get my arse into gear, I'll be able to get back on top of things this week and then I'll be able to start some fun stuff.

I can at least show you now the little secret something I was making back here. 

 

I used the "Little Pink House" tutorial, (found here), but instead of framing it in an embroidery hoop I decided to make it into a little mini-quilt for my Mum's birthday.

 

She was thrilled to bits with it, it was such a sweet, fun thing to make that I'm sure I'll be making some more in the future.  I'm going to make her something else that she can choose the fabrics for, like a bag or a quilt,  so this was just a little something to open on the day.

Right, must go and have some lunch now and then maybe I can tick another job off the list before the school run!

TLBG Wednesday

Just a quick post to let you know that I've just written my first post for TLBG Wednesday, and you can find it here!  Please do go and take a look, and join in too if you'd like!  We have about 14 members already, which is fantastic for the first week, but we'd love more people to join in so please do take the time to see what it's all about.  Thanks!

P.S. Unrelated, but I'm still working on getting a decent shot of the quilt, without much luck so far!  I'll keep trying though.

The secret's out!

 

At last, I can let you all in on our secret project!  I'm very excited about this but a bit nervous too, so I hope you'll like it!  Emmaand I have launched today a new blog called, as if you couldn't guess from the above pic, That Little Bit Greener, and you can find us HERE!  Please do click over and take a look.  The basic idea is for it to be a central point for all of us in this crafty/bloggy community to share information, links, tutorials etc that will, hopefully, help us to become "that little bit greener".  We are not expecting everyone to become 100% green, eco-warriors (because we are certainly not that either!) but rather to just encourage each other in making small changes, that will hopefully add up to make a difference.   The site will obviously be developing as we go along, so please do let us know your thoughts or suggestions.
